My phone prompted for visual voice mail and I hit decline. It is still showing at the top of my phone that they are saved there and I already deleted the messages. How do I get rid of this? I don't want to lose the messages that I have as I have a message saved from my grandmother and she has since passed away. Can anyone help me get rid of the voicemail icon at the top of my phone from visual voice mail? Please help!!

Have you restarted the phone? Gone to My Verizon and to apps and features and disabled visual vm? Cleared the cache in app manager for that app?

You cannot remove the feature from your account online at My Verizon com? You should call Verizon to have that removed then, if you will not be using it. They can get your basic voicemail back up and running.
