I did the 2 part software update to my galaxy s5, and ever since the battery is dieing faster and I keep getting an error message at the bottom of the screen sayin, "Sorry, APK exception, will be exit". What does the apk message mean and how can I stop it from constantly popping up?

SIEKO1015,
That certainly is a strange issue to have! Let's get to the bottom of this. The battery issue should stabalize, as an increase in battery drain is normal for this update. After a few days, you will see the battery drain normalize. With the APK error, are you processing anything in particular on the phone?

SandyS: Do you know this for certain? I'd like to believe this is true, but are you going based on a hunch or do you have actual documentation of this fact?
