I have the iPhone 6. My incoming calls are going straight to voicemail instead of ringing through. I need my children to be able to reach me quickly if need be. I tried a reboot (holding the circle and power button down) until the apple appears, but the issue still continues. I'm worried I shouldn't have upgraded. Anyone else having this issue? If so, how did you solve the problem?

Sounds like Do Not Disturb is turned on. Use Do Not Disturb on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

I'm so sorry you're experiencing this! I understand it's important that your children are able to reach you at all times.
First, ensure that in Settings > Cellular > Enable LTE is set to Voice & Data. If it wasn't enabled please wait 60 seconds and retest to determine if the issue is fixed. If the issue persists, power cycle the device and wait 60 seconds, and then attempt the call again. Please let me know how this works out for you. Thanks!

i had the same issue after my kids played with my phone you might want to check in your phone setting there is a DO NOT DISTURB feature click on it and a new screen should appear make sure nothing is clicked on (if you see green than turn it off)

I too was having issues with my Iphone 5 and though once I upgraded it would resolve, but no.
I now have the iphone 6 (since January 3rd) and occasionally phone calls will go directly to voicemail and not even ring to my phone. My phone will be next to me, the ringer on and the phone doesn't even vibrate and notify me that I've got an incoming call.
Now my husband is having the same issue with his iphone 6+ and this is not good, as he relies on his cell phone for his business and he is missing calls, which means he is missing work. How can I get this resolved?

I definitely want to make sure all the calls on your account connect correctly! I know this has been going on with multiple devices. Is this trouble only happening at home or other locations as well? What zip code is the trouble occuring in? Does this happen to any contact(s) in particular or all?

It happens in all different locations, home, work, while I'm out and about. It happens a lot when my husband calls me and some friends.

pbandjam2000,
Got it, thanks for that information. We want to ensure that your service is working at all times. What zip code are you in? This will help us determine what may be going on. Thanks.

pbandjam2000, Thanks for the details. This area looks good and there are no issues reported here. I know the receiving every call is important. Are you experiencing this issue when using your phone indoors, outdoors, or both? Since both of you have iPhone models; have you also checked to ensure the Do Not Disturb feature is not being activated during the time your calls are not received: http://vz.to/1BcPAhi?
