Some might also say "why can't T-Mobile give the same service footprint that Verizon does?" I guess the 2 different companies have different ideas about what is important to their customers. If the free music streaming is what is most important, you should definitely look into service at T-Mobile.

Why not just go where they have the things you want and they pay your early termination fee too?

I would link their forums about how well their promotion is working... It's hit or miss for a lot of users. Also T-Mobile is throwing gimmicks to bring in customers. They need to spend more money fortifying their network instead of throwing gimmicks If they actually want to keep their customers.
Verizon doesn't have to match the gimmicks and they know it because of this.

I really wonder how long these promos will last with TMobile and Sprint, because if users start streaming continuously, that will be a huge strain on already struggling data networks. I would be interested to see how long before it has a limit placed on it.

The big concern is T-Mobile is nothing but gimmicks. With a possible sale to Sprint more than likely Soft Bank will drop the gimmicks. The problem I am reading on line is T-Mobile is now starting to lose customers. In fact in their forums many Verizon customers who jumped to them are returning due to bad coverage, bad customer services, overcharges, added services not requested, early termination fee reimbursement being delayed or denied, update issues just like here etc.
There are also some complaining about the cost increase on data, loss of corporate discounts you name it.
Then you have customers from Sprint who jumped to them also leaving, that is pretty bad considering Sprint is not rated very high as a service provider.
The streaming of music not counting against metered data will prove to be hard to control. How would they actually know data use over music data use. Its a gimmick. Watch and see.
Good Luck
