Why is my Galaxy S5 constantly on 3G, when my wife IPhone 5 is on 4G? Both on Verizon's network.

I'm paying for 4G; It would be nice if I gained a discount every time my phone is on a 3G network; especially in an area supposedly loaded with 4G.

You are paying for data whether it is 3G or 4G. It is the same data plan.

Ann,

I understand I'm still paying for 4G, but when I'm constantly on 3G I believe I should get a discount. Especially since the Verizon map, states 4G is readily available in the area. Verizon, has no problem charging me if I go over on MB, my contract says 10MB. Why not just just shut it off at 10MB? They want more money, I want more service.

I haven't been getting 4G LTE since April 11th. They've replaced my Samsung Galaxy S5 THREE TIMES. All have the same issue. As soon as the iPhone comes out, I'm switching to T-Mobile.

Try getting a replacement SIM card.

I've had 5 different (new) SIM cards in three different GS5s. This is a defective phone manufactured by Samsung and has been problematic for me from the starting gate. They should not have released this phone. It wasn't (and isn't) ready for prime time.
