I'm planning on adding data to our family's plan and was looking into switching over to an Edge plan for the lot of us along with a More Everything plan, but had a question that I couldn't find an answer to on the website; when you pay off the phone via Edge, do you still keep that $10/$25 discount per line? Basically, if 4 of us get smartphones and the 10GB shared data plan, in 24 months when we pay off the phones, would our bill go up $100/mo, or would that stay?
Thanks

Talked to a Verizon rep this morning - the Edge line discount DOES fall off after the phone is paid off, but there's currently a promotion where smartphones without a contract save you $25/mo off the bill anyways, so as long as that's there it's a wash.

Originally no. They have special promotion now where it does. They don't specify when that promo will end. So if you wait too long you may not be able to get in on it. At any rate in 2016 who know what plans or policies Verizon will have by then. If it goes up your not any worse off than you are now so why worry about it?
