Changing device numbers

I have a tablet that the contract has run out. I want to swap the number it has with the number my phone has before I take the tablet off the account. What is the best way to accomplish this? Thanks.

You will first want to login as the account owner with your username and password. Have the device id's or ESN of both devices handy and follow these steps: http://vz.to/1jYPuCa If you are looking to cancel one of the number's, you would have to do so over the phone and give verbal consent.
