Can I get Verizon Messages for my Kindle HD?

I am trying to get the Verizon Message app for my Kindle HD, according to the website, it is available from Google Play for Android, but Kindle is not supported for Google Play, it does not appear to be in the Amazon App store either, Google referred me to the developer, but it now appears that my message goes to Verizon, I get some email stating that it will be reported to the development team, but no solution for me, also refers me back to the website on Verizon where I started, I can't believe someone else hasn't run into this..any ideas ?

I'm happy to see you are interested in using Verizon Messages. While the application is not available for the Kindle, you can still access Verizon Messages right from your browser. http://vz.to/1ff8o9x
