Can anyone tell me if streaming music from Pandora, Spotify, etc. counts towards data usage? I assume it does.

just to add for Pandora on cellular the default bitrate is 64 kbps but you can increase it to 128 kbps. If you have the Premium service the bitrate is 192 kbps though I am sure you can lower that if need be.
64 kbps = 28 MB per hour. 1 hour per day = 840 MB per month
128 kbps = 56 MB per hour. 1 hour per day = 1.6 GB per month
192 kbps = 84 MB per hour 1 hour per day = 2.5 GB per month
Spotify has 3 settings for mobile Normal which is 96 kbps, High which is 160 kbps and Premium which is 320 kbps
90 kbps = 40 MB per hour. 1 hour per day = 1.2 GB per month
160 kbps = 70 MB per hour. 1 hour per day = 2.1 GB per month
320 kbps =140 MB per hour. 1 hour per day = 4.2 GB per month
