I have a prepaid phone I have had for a while now. I added money to it yesterday. It will work for text but if I try to make a call it makes me reenter the number I am trying to call then directs me to the payemnt center. I tried calling 611 and it isnt working I cant get a dang person it says it can direct my call! I dont think I can get incoming calls either this is my only phone I cant call from another and I am disabled. I am really really really upset and angry I just want to use my phone like I use to!
Is there not a neighbor or anyone near by that will let you use their phone? My cell is my only phone too so I can understand how frustrating this is. You might consider signing up for a gmail account. What I did was I bought a cheap headset with a microphone. Then if my phone goes out I log into my gmail account and in the lower left there is a little phone icon. I can click it then on the right a dial pad comes up and I can make calls in the united states for free. It works very well to have for a back up in case the cell goes out. Mary
