Why is the button stuck on my iphone 4s?

the button at the bottom of my iphone 4s is stuck and i have to power off every time i want to switch from calls to texts etc,, i am ready to cancel verizon and switch to straight talk soon as i have had nothing but problems with this phone, any suggestions on how to fix this button

Why would you blame Verizon for a faulty button on an iPhone? Take it to a Apple Store and if under a year of ownership they will repair it.

I cannot see why Verizon is blamed for every faulty device when they don't even make devices.
