Razr Maxx getting slower every day - how do I diagnose?

Hi all,  My Razr maxx had its update to 4.1.2 last week.  Maybe 2 weeks?   Seems the phone spends less time on me, and id pre-occupied with other things, or suffering a system failure+?   It helped to disable wireless when I was driving around (but... DUH... shouldn't phone do that?), Helped some to disable Bluetooth when not using it.    I found the Top app, and see some apps getting up to 10% CPU, but it seems lightly loaded?  Is the number of apps scouring my life for information just creeping up as I add things?

Am not a privacy maniac, but wonder if its all the datamining on all the Apps i've downloaded?

THe last update from Facebook was a real lose-lose situation.   all my phone, are belong to Zuckerberg?

Is is just a matter of thinning out the number of apps or detecting/understanding the parasites on my phone?

I want to uninstall half the Built in apps... I dont use em. Off they go... I am paying for this, right?

THanks!

John W.

Hey,

First, backup your contacts and personal data before doing anything else. Then, I would do a factory reset. That should get things sped up for you.

My Maxx started slowing down, actually hanging 5 to 15 seconds at times, after the last build 9.8.20-72_VZW-16-5.  I've had Droid 4.1.2 before this with no slow downs.  I've cleared cache, apps, checked memory, etc.  I haven't tried factory default yet because I expect I will loose much of the configuration info and it's a long process to set up again, much like getting a new phone.

Has anyone found the core problem?

Suspect it may be that the latest VZW build contains additional data mining called "Relevant Mobile Advertising Program Enhancement" which collects data for directed advertising.  I opted out of this on the "privacy choices page" and will see if this helps.
