Where to delete automatically saved email addresses?

In my old Droid X, I could find a spot where I could delete email addresses that were saved in my phone automatically (when I receive an email that was sent to a group of people, all the addresses it was sent to are saved…somewhere).  In my Note II I can't find where to delete these.  Thanks for any help!

I can understand the importance of wanting to remove unwanted information from your phone MelGN2. I have listed steps below for removing email account.

  • From a Home screen, select the App menu (located in the lower right).

  • Select My Accounts.
If the app icon is missing, select App menu filter (located at the top) then select All apps.

  • Select and hold the Corporate Sync (Exchange Activesync®) account.
The accounts listed may vary.

  • Select Remove account.

  • Select Yes.

Please let me know if this helps with your concerns.

I can't find the "My Accounts" or "App menu filter", but I actually just want to pick and choose emails to delete, so is there somewhere I can see this list?

Have you tried going into the Apps Drawer and scrolling to System (the icon that looks like a cam). Tap on that and scroll to My Accounts. Then go to the account you need and go to each name and erase the email address. As far as a list with all Email addresses, you might find that on your computer under Google Backup.

Hi MelGN2,

Let's get this figured out! Are you unable to press and hold the email or unable to check mark the emails that you would like to deleted? Please clarify your concerns. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

When I compose a new email, the "To" field tries to auto-fill email addresses as I type.  Say, I'd like to send an email to John.  When I start to enter the letter J, every email with a J in it shows up in the drop down menu, even email addresses that are not in my contacts list.  These email addresses are from any group email that I've ever received with other people's email addresses in them.  This wouldn't bother me, but as people change their email addresses, I'd like to remove the old ones from my list.  And in the back of my mind, I also wonder if there is a security concern (if I'd ever get a virus, would I pass it onto all the email addresses stored in my phone?!?!).

Thanks for the details MelGN2. The functionality you have described is normal for the Note II with the latest OS. The system search is designed that way. It uses a search function based on information you may have entered or searched for on the device previously. I recommend deleting e-mail addresses from your contacts if they are no longer valid. You are not likely at risk of virus contamination on your wireless device. In addition, a virus would not likely pass through to a person's email just because it is stored on your phone. Similar to a computer. If it has a virus it would not likely affect e-mail addresses you may have stored.
