I get a retirement payment from another Company “FKI” – would they have a discount?

That seems unfair to deny retirees the benefit. Aren't senior citizens suppose to get the discounts?
It's up to each company or agency whether they continue to offer the discount to retirees - that's between the company and Verizon. Some offer it as a benefit of retirement, some do not. Talk to your company's personnel or human resources department and see if they will consider it.
Verizon offers a plan made specifically for and only available to senior citizens 65 and above. Senior citizens and retirees do go hand in hand most of the time however are different subjects. There are many successful people that retire early, say 45 years old. So if verizon offered 1 discount for retirees who are senior citizens, it would be unfair to retirees who are not senior citizens.
If you are a retiree, check if you company offers discounts. If not you are out of luck on retiree discounts. But......
If you are also a senior citizen, check out the 65 plus plan available only to senior citizens and see if it will work for your needs.
