I would just like VZW to know that the last thread about the HTC One lasted 51 pages of hungry customers.
I think the fact that an HTC CDMA phone just got Wifi certification basically confirms the fact that we're getting the One.
It doesn't matter how many pages it was, if it was locked for Terms of Service issues there's not a lot us customers can do about it. It wasn't the only HTC One discussion going nor was it the longest thread I've seen.
@nneptune: Even with this latest internal rumor of Verizon green lighting the ONE, I think you did the right thing. You have the ONE and the drama is over. We only have hope, no date, and no understanding of the final product.
if they are going to announce the One (which they have to if they are getting a new HTC phone), it would make sense for them to take the time at CTIA next week to do so. Plus it would make thousands of people happy including myself.
No that is pretty significant and that probably means that Verizon is truly getting the One as well as saying something next week regarding a release date. Given with what Nneptune said yesterday, this is pretty on spot.
And not just cdma, they need to make it global too.
HTC One heads to Verizon, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update in weeks
It is another great news for HTC One fans. HTC One is heading to Verizon soon and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update is expected in 2-3 weeks
HTC’s new high-end Android phone the HTC One is really creating waves in global markets. It has just started to make way into global stores with tremendous response from all classes of customers. Needless to say, the One is the finest Android phone the Taiwan tech firm has ever produced. The major issue HTC faces in market is the lack of enough units of the One and certainly the firm is working its best to meet the escalating demand. Here we are up to sum up the whole HTC One related updates.
HTC Ramps up Production
Putting all legal and component shortage issues behind, HTC is all set to ramp up the production of its 2013 Android flagship. The firm is ready to double up production of the One this month in hope that the device would get “high-end sales” soon after its official release. Recently, HTC has been getting good response for its products. For example, the Butterfly, the first 1080p phone from HTC, has witnessed to an increase of 50 percent sales in Japan after putting some nice on-contract prices. The One will also be getting some cool offers and deals from HTC.
HTC One Sprint Gets Update
The Sprint variant of HTC One has received a slight software update. The new update, which makes the version number to 1.29.651.10, improves the Back and Home key sensitivity. The handset has a minor problem with its capacitive keys below the display as they don’t often respond properly because the touch targets are evidently not large enough. The update has enhanced the touch key sensitivity, by enlarging the size of the target, thus making them further easier to activate. The update also brings some cool updates to BlinkFeed and adds a new Sprint Zone client to the One.
HTC One to Head for Verizon
Currently, the HTC One is available for grabs on three major carriers in the U.S. They are AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint. As of now, there is a gossip that the handset would also come to Verizon, the country’s largest cellular service provider at some point in the near future. It is said that the same hardware and specs will come inside the Verizon HTC One also.
Android 4.2 Jelly Bean in a Few Weeks
The HTC One is currently toiling away on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, which is an older variant of the mobile OS. As per an insider, the device is pegged for Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update in a few weeks. The device came up into stores in April with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean preinstalled along with its breathtaking Sense 5 UI. The new update is to bring many more additional capabilities to the device along with a set of cool improvements.
Not Yet Available in Many Markets
Though nearly one month has passed after the One’s official release in many emerging markets like India, the device hasn’t yet been launched. In India, HTC announced the phone one month back to come up for Rs.42900. But still there is no report about its coming. HTC reps are saying that the device is yet to come officially and they don’t have a clear idea when the gadget would make its entry. The delay might be because of the reeling component shortage. But it is not good for the handset, especially when it has lots of incredible alternatives in stores.
HTC One is a brilliant phone. It comes with a range of quality specs and features. It sports a splendid 4.7-inch Super LCD3 FullHD display with a pixel density of 469-ppi. You might love the device going by its processor and performance aspects also, because it sports a 1.7GHz Qualcomm APQ8064T Snapdragon 600 processor, Adreno 320 and 2GB of RAM. The rear camera is a breathtaking 4MP UltraPixel unit with the capability to record high quality 1080p video. With these specs under the hood, the One is a one of the best Android phones ever for sure.
If it's true, that the One is coming to VZW. VZW must order at least a few 32 and 64gb models.
