Is the Jetpack password protected? If so are you entering the code?
Have you limited the number of connections the Jetpack can simultaneously have?
I put in the correct password, because it is connecting to it, but the pc says it has limited access to the internet. I haven't limited the number of connections, also I actually made sure it was the only thing connecting to it.
Try going to the address - 192.168.1.1
Can you log in?
If not, this may be a computer/operating system error.
Try toggling the wifi on/off or open Network and Sharing Center > Change Adapter Settings > Right Click your wireless internet connection > Disable > Wait 2 minutes > Right Click > Enable.
Try it again. Does it work?
If not, reboot the computer and try again.
Hey fusswendel. I too have a Windows 8 laptop and absolutely love it. The new operating system is absolutely amazing. Lets make sure we get your jetpack connected to it and get you exploring the Internet. If your Windows 7 laptop works on it, I am confident that we can get your Windows 8 device to connect without any issues.
One thing I want you to try is removing the WiFi network from your computer and than readding it.
To remove it follow the steps below:
1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen then select Settings
2.Click the wireless network icon
3.Right-click the appropriate network
4.Click Forget this network.
1.Swipe in from the right edge of the screen then select Settings.
2.Click the wireless network icon
3.Click the appropriate network
5.If prompted, enter the network security key then click OK.
6.Click one of the following options:
• No, don't turn on sharing or connect to devices (For networks in public places)
• Yes, turn on sharing and connect to devices (For home and work networks)
Please try this for me fusswendel and let me know if this works.

I am having the same problem. But it isn't just with my Jetpack 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot 890L I also have the problem using my RAZR Maxx HD as a hot spot. All of my other devices can connect to either and get internet access. That includes Windows 7 laptops, iPods, iPad and an android table. But I can't get my Windows 8 laptop to work with my jetpack or razr hot spot. But I have connected it to several different wireless routers and it works fine.
NickB - I have the same issue. The windows 8 computer will connect just fine to public wifi, like Starbucks, Zaxbys, etc but will not with my jetpack 890L. I had it set to WPA2-PSK, it would not even hook to it, then I changed it to no security and it would hook up but limited and not go to any webpages. Everything else in the house has no problem with either setting.
I AM SOOOOO NOT HAPPY with Verizon ...... Was FORCED to change from Alltel aircard to a Verizon product .... DOES NOT WORK AS WELL .. SAME $$$$ MONTHLY FOR LESS AIR TIME ,,, JETPACK GOES DORMANT ALL THE TIME .. YET KEEPS LOGGING ONLINE TIME ... VERY FLUSTERED..... I have called and complained several times ... only to be told ... OH WELLL ...
been all over this forum looking for a way to connect win 8 to jetpack. no one has yet posted anything about success. has verizon given up support for the jetpack?
We want you to get the most out of your Jetpack device! However, not all devices are compatible with all operating systems. Are you able to use your Jetpack with other computers/operating systems? What Jetpack model do you have? Check this link http://vzam.net/ for the latest drivers for your computer and for compatibility.
