How to send a voice (verbal) text-massage

I just discovered how to send my own voice in a text message.  So far I like it because it is so much faster that typing or dictating a text message.  It's also great if you want to send someone a Birthday, Christmas, or any other personal type of greeting or congratulations because they hear your voice!

Here is how to start a new voice text-mesage...

From the home screen touch messaging.  Then touch New Message.  Next touch Contacts and enter the persons mobile phone number.  Now press the MENU button (lower left corner of your Charge phone).  Then Touch ATTACH and choose Record Audio.  Next record your message.  After you stop the recording press the MENU button and touch the symbol +ADD.  You now will be returned to the message you were preparing and you can see that voice recording is attached (it is a .amr file).  At this point you may want to add a short typed message such as:  This is a voice message from..."followed by your name."

Here is how to quickly answer someone else's "typed" text-message with your personal voice text-message...

When their message is showing on your display screen press the MENU button, choose ATTACH, and then choose Record Audio. Next record your answer message.  After you stop the recording press the MENU button and touch the symbol +ADD.  You now will be returned to the text message you are answering and you can see that a voice recording is attached (it is a .amr file)  At this point you may want to add a short typed message such as:  This is a voice message from..."followed by your name."

I love it when a plan comes together.

PS,  All your Recorded Audio text-messages are saved on your SD Card.  They are is a folder named SOUND.  In my phone they are in /mnt/sdcard/Sounds.  A typical file looks like this:  Voice 001.amr.  You can delete them anytime you want to.
