Currently, KIES is not supported by Verizon. Unfortunately, Verizon sold us a watered down version of the Galaxy Note II. A lot of apps supported by other carriers are not supported by Verizon, such as multiwindow (they gave us a lite version of this apps), S-calander, and several other apps.
Kies is totally a great application for device correspondence from browser management so I know it's very important for you to have these capabilities. At the moment, Kies live (desktop version) for management and syncing is not supported on the Note 2. However, even with that said, may I please ask what you were looking to sync from device to device? There are more than a few third party applications that you can locate via the Play Store depending on what you're trying to do. I think it's definitely worth a shot taking a look at.

Verizon you may have the best cell tower coverage, but you have the worst phone offerings and support. Just upgraded from Thunderbolt (bad experience) to Note II (which I like). Why are we verizon user not allowed to connect to our PCs via Kies, and why have many of the phone features been watered down, blocked and removed? This really chaps my butt. Give us the full featured phones and screwing them up if you want to keep your customer.
I walked away from the forum for a bit because all Verizon seems to push at us consumers is, "hey, there's a 3rd party app for that." It beginning to become ridiculous. Seems they'd be willing to keep our devices feature rich so they'd not only corner the coverage area market but the full customer satisfaction market as well.
BUT, all that being said, Verizon continues to do as they please because no one takes a stand. All of the new Samsung phones are amazing. But then Verizon dummies them down.
I recently ran into another issue. AVAST anti theft was on my phone. Long story short is caused issues with being able to upgrade my firmware. But I had loaded AVAST because of a recommendation from Verizon since they've removed the STOCK remote connection features of the Note II.
Instead of creating petitions to the government to have our carriers allow us to unlock our phones legally, we should be petitioning to Samsung, the government, whoever is needed to quit allowing carriers to change the functionality of devices we are paying top dollar for. Definitely don't go out and buy a car, computer, etc... and see the dealers or retailers dummying them down for the consumers.
So to answer your question Verizon Customer Support, I want an app that includes desktop software, that does everything Kies says it does. I want that app to be called Kies. I'm fairly certain all other Note II consumers on the Verizon network would appreciate the same.
Couple things I would like to address to Verizon regarding their support of the Note 2.
1. Get rid of the 5+ gigs of miscellaneous files that is taken up space in our Note 2's. Seriously, why are other version of Note 2 on other carriers free of this junk. Give us the control of what we want in our phones.
2. Start working on support of Kies desktop management. Wifi and browser connection is an alternative. We want a direct USB connection support.
3. Stop limiting the phones. We want full multi window support.
4. Stop your habit of restricting functions of the phone that the manufacturer intended it's consumers to have. You are the carrier, you provide the signal the phone should not be tampered with from what the manufacturer originally had in mind for it's users.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the ** meter is going of the chain.... Verizon, Big Red, Only decent coverage I can get around my area, what ever we call you. I would LOVE a talk to the person that makes the decisions for the company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I only had to pay you a $ 1.00 for a phone I would have nothing to say, nothing to bash you with. But we the CUSTOMERS pay you GOOD money, BIG money to some for the phones. If we cant have something meant for are devise, at lest give us a reason to why Verizon speaks for us, what we want or don't want on are devises. and OMG what the $@^^ is up with the bloat wear at lest pick ones that are less like CRAP!!!!!!!! VZ NAVIGATOR???????? really......
Google does it betterand for NO, N O money, sorry to tell you but Google has done it for years. If 3rd party apps are the answer to your problems why put bloat wear on the devise??????? One plus out of all this every call I've done to Verizon have been very nice people on the other side. SO Verizon, in case you have forgotten you do not make phones or make the OS for them. You give me the signal and towers, and sell me the phone from the manufacture. STOP, adding and taking away from the devise. Better yet I will call you and order the phone, and tell you what I want or don't want on it. School is back in. Now please tell US why the decision was made on the Verizon Samsung Note 2, NOT to support Samsung Kies???????? Without US the COSTUMERS, would there be a VERIZON? We are getting really tired of the answer starting with (we are sorry but).
