Well, that blows. I am a previous vzw rep just so know im not a complete moron, like many posts are filled with. There are a few choices you have, the first is insurance, cut out the head ache, pay your deductible and move on. They will send you a certified pre-owned phone. They are pretty much brand ass new phones. As a matter of fact they are so "like-new" I only buy certified pre-owned, even when i upgrade, it saves a lot of cash for a top of the line phone, plus they are still under the one year manufacturer warranty. That's your best option my friend. Second, you can, and only if your a pretty savvy person, is to buy new glass and replace it yourself, since your phone has physical damage on your behalf, the warranty is already voided. Id really only attempt this if your insurance is non-existent. It is very possible to do, there are even instruction videos on you-tube to walk you through the process. But, you better know be good with your hands and pretty handy in general. The glass can be removed just by heating the edges, very carefully, around the screen. Under the glass you'll find the LCD module, obviously it's super sensitive, and can be ruined with the wrong move. here's a link for replacement glass.Use mini suction cups to pull it off. I'm not sure if they mention that.

Next, you ,of course, could buy a new phone, out of contract prices are killers. Try looking for an unlocked phone on ebay or amazon or something. The vzw certified pre-owned option. Before making a purchase of this dedication, if you find an unlocked device you like, I'd call VZW before sending a payment, just to make sure it's compatible.Policies change rapidly and when I left the company they allowed unlocked devices to be activated as replacements. Check to make sure it's still relevant for good measure.
