I wish there was a way to limit incoming text messages to only people in my contact list. Anyone know of a way to do this? I'm getting more spam texts and never from the same number twice so blocking the individual phone number won't help. We already have the block on "premium" messages but they are getting past that too. I'm on an iPhone if that's relevant.

Forward the spam texts to 7726; Verizon will text you back asking for the number that sent you the text.

It may be an option on your phone under call settings or security settings. And there may be an app that will allow you to filter calls and texts - perhaps posting your question in the iPhone space would get a better response, or search the Apple app store for a text filtering app ...

Woody15, thanks for posting. Are you still having issues with your incoming text messages? Have you enable Do Not Disturb in iOS? This feature will allow you to block calls and notifications from coming in but it will not stop the arrival of the message. You can enable it by going to settings> do not disturb(turn on)> tap notifications>do not disturb. From here you can manage your settings for the feature. You can also block calls and text using our website. Get more details here: http://bit.ly/Pay0UH ^SP

You want to block the ones that aren't in trusted, also, you will have to reset her device to update it with the new settings.

Yes, but you want to restart it as you're making the changes. It says that in the instructions when they're being set up.
