Mine isn't charging - on line rep thought I may have "over charged" it?!
Will take mine in as well - wish me luck. "Weirdness"
Have you tried a different charger or cord? That could be the problem.
Hi cjhamr02. Have you solved the mystery of your S3 charging issue yet? There was a good suggestion from demmo86rt to try a different charger or cord, especially if the store was able to get the phone to charge with their charger. If a charger is pulled out of the phone quickly or at an angle, it can sometimes cause the connection in the phone to have trouble connecting the the cable when it's plugged into the port. If the store was able to confirm there was no trouble with the phone or the battery, then I would definitely take a look at the charger you're using.

One of those "oh yeah" moments.
Took the battery out, put it back in and of course - it worked!
Better then the alternatives, right?
Thanks so much for following through.

Since the JB update mine charges only a few % overnight if left on (even with wifi and mobile data and etc. off) and drops faster during the day. If off, it also chrages slowly for hours, then jumps to 100% and stops charging; but when I turn it on it says only half charged or whatever, only a few % above where it was the night before when I turned it off. VERY strange glitch they need to remedy ASAP. Similar behavior with car charger although not tested overnight.
Also the battery usage screen does not show it being on a/c, just on battery even when the battery shows as clowly charging! Look at the screen below: "1d"+ on battery? Even when % was going up?? I think not!!!
PLEASE tell me they are working hard on this like they are with the large-memory-card problem!!!
That screenshot shows it charging. The green bar right under the battery level graphic is the on A/C mark. If you touch the battery level graphic, you will go to a second screen with more details.
Yeah, and even when it IS charging (VERY SLOWLY) it still shows time ON BATTERY which is wrong.
It show that time as on battery because it did not get a full charge. Time on the charger is not included in that number.
How many days should it take to get a FULL charge???? Used to be overnight or even just a couple of hours; now with JB update it NEVER gets there.
The worst is that it says it is full and stops charging, then drops to half when I unplug it!
