You may need a new SIM card. Go to a Verizon Corporate store, not a Verizon third party retailer, and get a new SIM card. To find a Corporate Store open:
and put in your zip code. Only look at the "Verizon Wireless Stores" tab and not the "All Stores". SIM cards are free at Verizon Corporate Stores, most (all?) Verizon Retailers charge for them.
If that does not work and a Factory Reset does not fix your problem, then you may have to get a reconditioned replacement under warranty from Verizon.
Yeah, I was planning on taking it in tomorrow, but decided to ask on here in case someone else knew what to do. Oh well, I guess I'll still go.
It could be the SIM card sim especially if the gold pin that on the bottom on the sim is damaged or scratch
Even if it's just Touched by a Persons Fingers can cause issues as the Oil in our Finger and the Static Electricity that also runs in Bodies can do Damage to the Card to were operations in the Phone can render it to were the Phone either Doesn't respond to things like it should or ceases to work at all..
