Are there any Android virus protection apps available that are active all the time? The only ones I've found require a scan to find viruses, etc. after the fact. I want something that will block viruses before they install.
Lookout Mobile Security (free and Paid versions) is always active and constantly scanning the phone for virus's and malware. AVG 2012 Mobile works like this as well. Mcaffee and most of the others only scan after the fact.
Your phone will tell you anytime something is trying to install. Don't approve anything you don't know for sure where it came from and you will be ok. Also, by default, your phone is set to block any non Play Store installs.
