A couple days ago I read an update was available for the Galaxy S3 on Verizon.
I went to the Settings/about Device/Software Update
When I click on "Check Now" I get the following error:
To check for system updates, go to Settings >About Device when service is available.
Obviously, I just did this, and if I repeat the steps, I get the same error.
I found another forum on the web where several people had to bring their devices into Verizon in order to get this fixed.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I attached a screenshot.
See my post in another similar thread:
In my experience so far it seems to be a bogus message... Will have to find out later when I attempt to update my wife's phone tonight...
Thought I would let everyone know, that this problem disappeared today. I ran the "check for updates" it found the new update, downloaded and installed it. No issues. Now when I run the check update, instead of no service available, it says "No New Software Updates" - seems like its fixed.
now...if I could just get Jelly bean.....
