    New BB Storm 9530 Activation

      I bought a new bb 9530 off the internet. it is unlocked and is not branded to verizon but said it could work with verizon. I put my droid SIM card in but it wont let me call the *228 number to activate the phone. It says Emergency Calls only. If anyone could help me i would appreciate it.

          I think it needs to be a Verizon branded version.  Also was the SIM card you used a 4G LTE SIM card or a Vodafone SIM card used for overseas use?

            Hi nwarner42,

            I'm sure you're eager to activate your new device! SIM cards in the Storm are used for International usage only. I would recommend removing the SIM from the phone. Where did you get the device from? It needs to be a CDMA version and be loaded into our device data base to be activated. After removing the SIM, try and dial *228 and pick option 1 again. Let us know the results and the origin of the phone so we can better assist!
