I have been trying for days to download the photos from my Stratosphere to my PC. I have used a USB cord. The cord works, however, the computer is not "finding" my phone. Usually a box pops up saying there is a device attached, this is not happening. I have the MicroSD card in the phone and have programmed it to Mass Data, this does not work. I have downloaded the driver from the Verizon website. Nothing is working. I have 150 photos on my phone and I am not about to email each photo to my computer. Help!!!!
Make sure the pix are saved to the media card (you can do this on the phone). Once they are saved to the card, it *should* show up on your computer as a drive letter via USB cable.
If that isn't working for you, then use a card reader or adapter; remove the card from the phone, and read it via the card reader on your computer. My Micro SD came with an adapter so it fits in the SD card slot.
If you are still having difficulty, post back with what you tried and what the results were, so we can further troubleshoot.
I don't have the Stratosphere, but your user manual should have instructions for using the SD card, as well as instructions for setting options for saving pictures to the phone or to the memory card.

Hi there Laura88!
I am so happy to learn that you want to backup your pictures! I love keeping my memories safe.
SuzyQ provided some awesome suggestions (thanks!) but don't forget to plug your phone in and then change it to Mass Storage Mode.
Here's some screen shots:
