My daughers iPhone voicemail message says it is full and cannot accept any messages. All messages have been deleted. The the "deleted messages" area is also empty. Please advise next step, I presume from Verizon? Thanks

Verizon would say its apple but I don't think it is. It's apple who created the visual voicemail. It's not the same system as the vzw visual voicemail.

Hi rhythmblues,

I am so sorry that you can't leave voicemails on your daughter's phone. We certainly want to make suer the both of you stay in communication. Now, if I may ask, when you dial into *86, do any messages play? Apple does make the software for Visual Voicemail on the iPhone, but we do somewhat support it. The next step would be to make sure all the applications are closed on the iPhone and reboot. Please double tap the home button, while on the home screen. At the bottom you will have all the running applications. Then please press and hold on the icons. They will start to wiggle and then you can click on the minus sign to close them out. Make sure that the "Phone" is closed. Then turn the phone all the way off, then back on. Please let us know if you need anything further.

Thanks!

Hello MichelleG_VZW

My daughter dialed *86 and no messages played. She closed all the apps as

you suggested and rebooted, but there was no effect.

She next did a *228 and selected option 2 update. That seemed to do the

trick.

Thanks for your help.

My wife had the same problem.  Verizon keeps voicemails in the cloud as well as the on the Smartphone.  Occasionally, there's a disconnect between the two.  When this happens, the Smartphone may show no voicemail, but in actuality the voicemail continues to collect in the Cloud, which will fill up and preventing new voicemail from being received.  To correct this issue and on the Smartphone, dial and hold "1" until it goes to voicemail and enter the password.  If you don't know the password or didn't set one, you can set one on the IPhone by going to Settings -> Phone -> Change Voicemail Password.  Enter the pin that will be the password to login into voicemail.  Once in voicemail, press "7" to delete the voicemail in Verizon's cloud.  Voila, problem solved...
