how do I connect my lucid to my computer?

I would like to connect my computer to my lucid phone.  When I try it looks for a driver or other devices to connect.  What do I need?

The drivers should be on the phone itself, otherwise, you can let your computer search for them on the web.

I am having a similar problem. My Dell  will not recognize the Lucid LG when connected with USB. Both the computer and phone gives a split second prompt that they are connected but then goes away immediately.  After reconnecting it several times however it will finally recognize the mass storage. How can I get away from the hassle of multiple re-connections before it finally recognizes that connection?

I just got a Lucid yesterday, and I've been having the same problem. From everything I can find online, it looks like it's supposed to be a very easy process; simply plug in the USB cable and go.

What ends up happening is this, which sounds fairly similar to samrmusso's problem - I'll plug in the phone, at which point it will open an AutoPlay dialogue that offers to either run the TL_Bootstrap.exe program or open up the folder, which contains primarily system files. This is invariable. Shortly after, the dialogue will close and the removable drive will disappear. I have tried this with a blank SD card in and with the slot empty. Essentially, I'm trying to get it so that I can access and make changes to the SD card and the internal memory if necessary. But regardless of whether or not I run the TL_Bootstrap program or not, I can never get beyond that stage before the computer and phone disconnect, and the same dialogue window opens every time.

At the same time, my mom got her own Lucid. For some reason, hers will connect to my computer, at which point it will open and close the same dialogue window, but then open a drive in F: that seems to be the phone's internal memory that can have music added to it through the Backup Assistant Plus. We've tried using both cables with both phones interchangeably, but hers will always reach the internal memory stage and mine won't. Furthermore, both phones seem to work in my dad's laptop, although neither display the two removable drives that the manual indicates that they should.

As such, it's unclear to me whether the problem is with the phone or the computer, given that each works in different circumstances. Over the course of this evening, I have tried every suggestion I could find online, from making sure that USB debug mode was off to updating the drivers to a full hard reset, and nothing is making it work, much less display precisely what the manual describes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the AutoPlay program (the TL_Bootleg.exe file) several times without success, and I'm finally stumped. Any help would be appreciated.

Open up Menu | Settings | Connectivity, and determine the USB mode you have selected.

Try choosing Mass Storage.

That was one of the very first things I tried, and it is and has been set to mass storage all the while. Thank you for the reply, though.

Have you tried opening up My Computer?  You can then try to find the card or internal memory which will be listed as a removable drive.

That is not the phone internal memory you are seeing as an extra drive on your computer, it is your SD card. As for Backup Assistant Plus, you do not have to be plugged into your computer. Simply go to Verizon on your computer and log in. Then, go to Backup and select what you want to put on your phone and download it. It should go from your computer to your phone without a USB connection. If you want to transfer items from your SD card to your computer, or from your computer to your SD card; then you must be connected with the USB cord.

My phone connected to my computer(s) fine until I (force) upgraded the Android OS. Now it rarely (if ever) connects properly in any mode (Mass Storage, MTP, PTP, etc.)
