We noticed a similar issue with the MiFi 4620L:
If it is related then the only way to resolve it is to contact VZW and let them know about it. The hardware vendor will investigate it and patch it on the next firmware update. Give VZW a call anyways and see if they have anything to say about it. These problems are perfect for VZW support since they can easily recreate the problem on thier side with thier own devices.

Having wireless internet while on the go is an excellent way to stay productive and entertained! There are so many advantages to having a jetpack and they are super convenient to have. As John Getzke stated, we appreciate you sharing this with us so we can lift your concern to the hardware vendor. Although I don’t have a date as to when such an issue will be resolved, I can have the process expedited. Upon getting this issue resolved, you may notice that the solution is implemented before the communication is sent. If this is the case then feel free to reply to this message once you know are able to successfully browse the specified website.

It is 9:00am ET Thursday Sept. 6 2012. Via the 890L, I cannot connect to:
I immediately switch my network connection to my home Verizon FIOS, and I can hit all 3 sites no problem. I then switched it right back to 890L, and the same problem.
Andy, sounds like this can become frustrating! I would like to help. Were you able to connect to these sites prior to 9:00 am EST on September 6? Were you able to connect afterwards (that is, using the 890L Jetpack device)? When you attempt to navigate to those sites, what error message do you receive? Please let me know so I can further assist. Thanks!

This has been going on since April of this year. I've started multiple tickets. I'm not going to go into detail here because I've already spent hours on the phone with your tech support. There is no 'error message.' It will give you a 'can't display the webpage' message, which differs depending on your web browser. 890 and 4620.
I want you to access all the websites online! I have included some links to a software patch that may resolve this issue. Please use the appropriate link based on your operating system.

Once the zip file is downloaded, follow the steps below. Note: Windows XP users will be prompted to do a reboot.
Double click on SetMTU.exe
Select value (default 1428)
Reboot is required on XP only

Hi fords4life and all members,
I just recently purchased the Jetpack 890-L. It is very slow, I am constantly rebooting my laptop and losing the signal far too. often. I am recharging it nightly. Once I am in my Gmail account and perusing my emails, the response time is slower than when I had Time Warner and other providers. I notified tech support previously on another issue since I purchased it. Any suggestions?
