Has anyone heard ANY news about Casio releasing a 4G version of the Commando? I spoke to Casio's customer service reps and they tell me that a 4G version is due to come out soon. Unfortunately they cannot give out a date for release at this time because (they tell me) the release date is at Verizon's discretion.

No one knows when devices will be released. Some will be rumored, but I have not heard any rumors for a 4G Casio phone.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I think I actually saw something about this the other day, though I can, in no way, remember where.

Shopper_De,
A few weeks ago Casio filed plans with the FCC for a new phone (Casio Model # C811) which many assume will be the replacement for the existing Casio Commando (Casio Model # C771). The filings confirm that the Casio C811 runs on LTE frequencies used by Verizon Wireless (Verizon band 13), in addition to Verizon's CDMA frequencies. Furthermore the C811 also runs on international GSM spectrum bands. Other features revealed include a microSD slot, Wi-Fi, and NFC. The drawing of the C811 is of a phone with a similar, but not exactly the same, physical layout to the Japanese-bound Casio G’zOne Type-L.
