Charges for temporarily disconnected service?

My phone has been temporarily disconnected for non payment about a month ago. But I am wondering why I was charged for last months service still when it was disconnected?

Hi kait330!  I understand no one wants to have to pay for service they’re not using.  I’d be more than happy to ensure you’re not being billed for disconnected service.  Tell me, when is your bill cycle date?  This would be the last day of each bill cycle; found on your My Verizon homepage under “My Usage”.  What day were your services suspended for non-pay?  Keep in mind; charges are billed one month in advance, so you may very well receive a credit for the days the line was not active when the next bill prints.  Let me know so I can further assist.  Thanks!
