My phone recently had gotten water damage and my friend lent me his old Droid X, not the second generation one. I tried calling customer services to see if i could avoid having to pay a data plan and if i could just use the phone for calling and text messages. Trying to talk to a real person was very hard for me to be able to do so i just wanted to post this discussion. Do i have to pay for the Droid X data plan or can i avoid it, if yes are there different types of data plans i can choose from and what are the differences in prices. thank you
Yes as with all smartphones you will need a dataplan.
