I just got the breakout and have been able to get my email accounts set up with no problems. My problem is that I want the phone to check for new emails on its own. I go into the account settings and set it to check every 15 minutes, but after a few hours it will have reverted back to check manually. How do I keep it set to check every 15 minutes like I want it to?
I had the exact same problem. I even replaced the phone, but that didn't fix it. I ended up downloading and installing K-9 Mail. It's free in the app store, and it works like a charm.
Have my work account and gmail setup without any problems. Under settings/accounts & sync I have background data and auto-sync turned on. The work account is set to Automatic (push) and Gmail to just Sync.
Not sure if your phone has this option, but do you have peak hours enabled? This would explain the sync settings changing on their own.
