To cope with economy I recently canceled Bresnan (who went up from $32.90 a month to
$57 a month for broadband Internet service) and purchased the Pantech UML290 4G USB modem. I had been using
Vonage for $9.95 a month as my phone provider, but I don't believe the Vonage router is compatible with this modem.
I still cannot get 4G, so I am wondering if there is a Verizon modem that is compatible with the Vonage modem that may be 3G? If son, is there any way to access Vonage with an add on card? Will the Vonage extensions feature work?

The Vonage box will not work over a USB modem connection. It will work with a wireless hotspot via network bridge on your computer's ethernet port and the wireless connection. Your VoIP quality will vary based on your wireless signal strength. It is best used with 4G signals. Vonage Extensions will work via cell phone with extensions access numbers and android and iPhone devices will work via the Vonage Extensions App.
