I purchased the iphone 4 online Thursday evening, after the 4:30 cutoff for shipping that day. I got an email yesterday stating that it had shipped from Fedex via standard overnight, but that it wouldn't be here until Monday. It's not actually overnight if it takes three days to get here (and before anyone says anything about Fedex not delivering on Saturdays, they just delivered one of my Christmas gifts - and it's Saturday.) No anger here, just curious as to why they don't state something different about orders purchased after the cutoff time.
It's not overnight because you purchased it AFTER the cutoff time. Monday is the next business day, so that *technically* is THEIR definition of "overnight" delivery.
That is FedEx definition of standard next day also, on orders from Friday. Which this would technically be.
