well i went to verizon yesterday...after about 30 minutes the guy figures i needed a new sd card (gee ya think?) i knew this going in....so he came out with this package that has the adapter ..an sd card and something else..i'm not sure what it was..he was informing me that he was going to give me all of it..and it was free under warranty etc..it was 69 bucks..then leaves and comes back to tell me he can only give me the sd card now..and took the rest away..so i was kinda upset i had my hopes up of getting an adapter as well incase this issue ever arises again..and then take it away..which makes no sense..to the system..i got the entire package..not just the sd card...and whats the point of it..like they dont carry JUST sd cards?  he wasted money by doing that..

i then went to walmart and bought an adapter..ugh

Try removing the card and place it in a pc card reader, if it reads the same error then I would say the card index data file or boot sector of card may have got corrupted.  It may be not be any way with out some research.

Have you tried removing the SD card and re-inserting it in the phone to make sure it is properly seated?

Also there are "micro-SD to SD" adapters that allow a pc to read a micro-SD card without losing it inside the reader.  :smileyhappy:

I agree with Wildman, the only way you can know for sure if your SD card is corrupt is by removing it from the Droid and putting it into your computer. If you are afraid that you will be unable to remove it from your computer, then I suggest you go to your local Verizon store and have them check the card with one of their computers. Unfortunately, if your boot section is corrupt, I'm afraid that you will be unable to retreive anything you may have had on it, such as photos. If one of your files is corrupt, than you may be able to delete the corrupted file and retreive all the others.

It appears that you have a bad SD card. My guess is that the boot section is corrupt. Sounds like a new card is needed.
