    problems with prepaid phone

      Purchased a Samsung Gusto Prepaid Verizon phone the beginning of July.  Have been pretty much satisfied with the phone itself, but having trouble dialing a number, from my contact list, then being told to enter the full ten digit number again.  This is very irritating, but doesn't do that, when I'm in the Green Bay area.  Could this be because I'm in an area, which was formerly Alltell, when Verizon bought certain areas, from Alltell, in the fall of 2009.  I was with the understanding they bought all of Alltell, but found out they only purchased parts of it.  I can't access anything of Verizon's, because it seems the towers do not recognize the Verizon codes.  Even back up assistant, can not be accessed, unless I'm close to Green Bay.  I unable to text pictures or anything like that.  Was told there is a Verizon tower, in Shawano WI, but my phone still don't work right there either.  I can call, as long as I redial the 10 digit number.  THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE, WHICH REALLY SUCKS!!!!  ALL YOU GET WHEN YOU CALL, IS AUTOMATED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND YOU CAN'T TALK TO A REAL PERSON, TO DISCUSS YOUR PROBLEM!!!!  THEN THEIR PAT RESPONSE, IS IF THEY CAN'T HELP YOU, TO CALL THEM FROM A LANDLINE PHONE!!!!!  HOW MANY OF US HAVE LANDLINE PHONES, WHEN WE'RE HAVING A PROBLEM WITH OUR PREPAID PHONES!!!  I had a Verizon contract phone, with 2 additional lines.  I had the one line turned off, since the person using it, was no longer using it.  I let the brother, of the other line use the phone and he run my telephone bill up over $1,000, which I cannot pay at this time.  I went to the Prepaid Verizon phone, because I was very satisfied with the service, even though I could not send picture messaging or access the internet, with the contract phone either.  The person, who had my other additional line, has gotten the Net10 phone and don't have near the problems I'm experiencing.  At least, when he calls customer service, he can get hold of aREAL ACTUAL LIVE PERSON TO TALK TO!!  Not everyone's questions or problems can be solved by the automated attendant!!!!!  No matter what number I call, I can not get hold of a real person!!!!  What's up with that? IF I'M NOT ABLE TO INTO CONTACTS AND GET HOLD OF MY CONTACT, WITHOUT DIALING THE 10 DIGIT NUMBER AGAIN, I WILL SWITCH TO A NET10 PHONE AND ONLY PAY $50 UNLIMITED VOICE CALLING. I wanted to stay with Verizon, because I was well satisfied with their service and was more than willing to put up with, some of the other quirks, like not being able to acces back up assistant in the Lena or Shawano WI area or send picture messaging.  I like being able to send pictures to the online album and then move them to my computer.  I also want to be able to use My Verizon, to be able to pay on my overdue contract bill.  Any other Verizon numbers, such as *611, tells me to put in the full 10 digit number again!!!  Why don't prepaid customer service have actual live people answering the phone, so a customer can ask an unusual question?  If you need more people to man the phone lines, I could really use a job!!

          have you tried dialing the 1 then the ten digit number? To get a live person on prepaid  dial this number 1-888-294-6804 when you start to hear the greeting  dial the next 4 then the next greeting dial 4 again then the next greeting dial 5 this should give you a human.
