    Crapware

    semperjase

I am not interested in Blockbuster, Bitbop, Lets Golf 2, or  Rockband. I will not be using those services and there is no reason to have them on the phone. Apparently Verizon has decided that I'm not allowed to delete applications that I will never use from my own phone.

      Why?

      Verizon, please fix this.

Remove app option  does not show blockbuster.

Uninstall blockbuster is not highlighted as an option like on the other apps (Facebook)

This isn't anything new.  Same thing with every other Android phone.  They all CAN be removed but it requires a little more work than just hitting uninstall which we can't talk about here.

google shows no way to do it without voiding the warranty, so there are no alternative methods of doing it without voiding warranty. Google is not a friend right now for not showing how to do it that way

technically it will void your warranty....but technically, i don't believe verizon could ever tell that you had done it. but it's definitely done at your own risk. i suggest ignoring the apps as they don't take up much space at all and use VERY little resources (if any). i look at it sort of like solitare, hearts, etc that come on pc's. sure...i'll never use them....don't want them and don't need them.....but i'm not going to take the time and effort to figure out how to uninstall them.

voided is a strong word.  I prefer "temporarily non-returnable" and that's assuming they actually bother looking at it instead of reflashing the stock ruu.

Hey Verizon, where oh where did my Lets Golf go?

so just a little tidbit that I forgot to mention.  That LetsGolf that verizon was so nice to pre-install for us is 131 MB O_o   Rhapsody was the second highest at 5.25 MB, VZNav @ 2.67 MB, BitBop @ 2.46 MB and Kindle is 1.87 MB.  The others are all under a MB.

that's getting ridiculous. i've never had that much of a problem with this practice, but when they start loading 13meg apps, it's getting out of hand!!!!
