If I tether my droid to my laptop and have an unlimited data plan, will I be charged extra? I've been told that unlimited isn't truly unlimited and there are limits to the amount I can do.

To tether your DROID to your laptop, you will have to add the wifi Hotspot at $20 for 2GB/month and also be signed up for the unlimited $29.99/month data plan.
Data to your phone is unlimited, but data to another device is not included.

But of course, you would be committing theft, with the possibility of prosecution and having your service terminated and having to pay an ETF to boot.

You have to pay $20 extra for mobile hotspot plus data. That is if you're using the wifi in you're phone, but if you're using blue tooth or data cable then its no extra cost. The thing is you have to disable wifi, then if you're connected its free. I think you need to tether the 1st time with the cable then you can use blue tooth afterwards

Tethering isn't extra, that is my understanding at the time. I know that AT&T has to be rooted to tether but I don't think you need to with verizon.
