Callers Cannot Hear Me

Hello.  Is anyone out there with D2's having issues with using the handset microphone? Callers have been telling me that are unable to hear my voice when speaking into handset unless switching to bluetooth or speakerphone.

I have called VZW and sent an email to Motorola about this issue.  I have dutifully complied with all their action steps: from removing the case; removing battery and reinstalling (soft reset), and even performed factory (hard) resets.  Nothing worked.  Of course, I promptly called back VZW and all they could offer was to send me a refurbished D2. Obviously, a new phone would have been the ideal, but I settled for the refurb.

I had high hopes that it was an isolated incident and receiving another D2 would settle the issue once and for all.  To my dismay, the very same problem resurfaced when making my first call!  In fact, it was not intermittent this time, it was every single call I made thereafter.  I literally was shouting  to my callers only to hear them repeat, "....hello....hello.  Are you there?"  Let it be known that third-party apps were not downloaded, nor google accounts activated with the refurbished phone.  I wanted the phone to be in its "factory reset state" to ensure nothing was introduced.

What is really disappointing about this predicament is I have no recourse other than to pony up $500 for a new phone. VZW has stated they will not send me a brand new phone unless Motorola acknowledges there is an issue with the phone.  I am very extremely frustrated with VZW's red tape, and Motorola's slow response for a solution. Yet both companies are profiting from millions of wireless customers quick to shell out hundreds of dollars for defective products and disappointing service.

I have had no complaints from anyone I've talked to, you could have a defective mic.
