My Wife and I both have Droids on the same account. I use Google Voice she doesn't. We don't have friends and family so my GV number is not on F&F
1. If I call her using the GV android app and my GV number shows up on her caller ID is the call mobile to mobile or do we both get charged regular minutes?
2. If she calls my GV number and I answer it with my Droid and her Verizon number shows up on my Caller ID is the call mobile to mobile or do we both get charged regular minutes?
Right now I'm not using GV to call my wife but I would like to be able to make all calls with GV without having to worry about using regular minutes when it could be mobile to mobile. I'd really like to hear from a CSR on this.
If you want to use GV to save minutes you can setup GV to work with Google Chat and access it through Gmail on your computer. I recently paired a cheapy BT headset with my notebook. When I get a call from, oh say my brother in law, I answer it on the cell and while talking I turn on the BT headset that is paired to the computer, then when it connects, hit * on the cell and the computer "rings". I pick it up there and hang up on the cell. Not using minutes anymore and the caller never even notices. Want to get up and walk out of BT range? Hit * on the dial pad on the computer and the cell rings. Pick up on that, hang up on the computer and walk away with the cell - but you are back to using minutes.
