Is anyone else having trouble with getting your contacts to be backed up to either gmail or Verizon's Back Up Assistant? My contacts simply won't back up to gmail, but will to VBA. That said, intermittantly get an error message on my phone, "Subscription cannot be confirmed at this time. Please contact ...#611...". It was working, but now isn't.

Did you check the settings of the gmail account to make sure that Contacts were enabled to be synced to your gmail account?
To check the settings, while you are in contacts, press the menu button (far left button)->More->Manage accounts->your gmail address. If Sync Contact doesn't have a green checkmark next to it, press Sync Contacts and it should start syncing right away.
I use backup assistant. I have not had any issues with it at all. I do use the sync calendar function of my gmail account with the sync to outlook program on my desktop (I dont have exchange at home) and that works well.
