Peak minute usage: minutes used from 6am-9pm, monday through friday

Off peak minute usage: minutes used from 9:01pm-5:59am, monday through friday and all saturday sunday long

In calling peak minute usage: minutes used during peak hours to/from other Verizon Wireless customers

In calling off-peak minute usage: minutes used during off peak hours to/from other Verizon Wireless customers

Most calling plans have unlimited night and weekend minutes (off peak) and unlimited incalling minutes (now called mobile to mobile).  So under most of the plans, you only really need to pay attention to your peak minute usage to verify if it's exceeding your calling plan allowance.  You can check your minute usage from your phone by dialing #MIN (send) or through myverizon at vzw.com.   If the allowance is exceeded, you may wish to consider a larger calling plan.

lets break this down a lil better...if u r using #min to check then there are only two areas u need to pay attention to...

PM Peak:###   this is what your calling plan minutes are covering  and the amout YOUR specific cell has used

Family Share Total Estimate .....PEAK:### (ie 1400 minute family share plan)

if u r looking at a bill then that is a lil more complicated but basically it is the PEAK  PLAN ALLOW that is pulling from your share plan limit
