    Unable to send video message.

I have sent video messages to my online account and to friends in the past, the last video I tried to send said exceeds file size?  This has never happened and this video is shorter that any of my other videos.  I also tried to send a video that was like a month older and I was able to send that one? What going on? Can anyone help me, thanks, BTW I have a Samsung rouge.

The maximum file size for picture / video messages varies from device to device. The file size limitation is based on the megapixels of the camera on the device:

          • Devices with a .3 megapixel camera can send / receive a maximum file size of 100 KB.
          • Devices with a 1.2 - 2 megapixel camera can send / receive a maximum file size of 350 KB.
          • Devices with a 3.0+ megapixel camera can send / receive a maximum file size of 500 KB.
Lowering the camera resolution will reduce the image file size.

*The Samsung Rogue has a 3.0 megapixel camera

The maximum file size that can be sent from an email to a device is 3 MB. When any message over 350 KB is sent to the device, the file is reduced in size to be under 350 KB prior to delivery. If a device sends a 500 KB file to a device with a lower file size limit the file will be reduced to a file size acceptable by the receiving device.

Many devices are capable of sending messages that exceed intercarrier file size limits (typically 300 - 600 KB). A message that exceeds the other carrier's limits will be rejected and not reach the intended recipient.

Thanks Morgan!  This question about file sizes and pictures resizing on send has come up more than a few times.  I've made this information into a macro and I'm sure I'll be using it!!!

I'm sorry I read this but maybe I am not understanding it correctly the video message I am trying to send is only  1.41mb the resolution is 640x480, is it the resolutions that is making the video unable to send? Can I send the video anywhere or is it only capable of viewing on my phone now?  Is there a way to change the resolution so I can send it or am I out of luck?  Oh and why did the resolution change from the previous videos I took? Thank you so much for your time and patience.

Is there a files size limit that Verizon has on the size of a Text picture message?   If so what is the size?

                Thank you

As Morgan stated above, the max file size that you can send is about 500 kb on a pic message; depending on the carrier you are sending to, the file may be reduced or not delivered, if it exceeds limits imposed by the other carrier.

So there's a file size when sending but to certain services. What about when I try to send to my email? I cannot send any pictures in a text to my friends/family or even my own email. I have restarted my phone, and even did a reprogram and still not able to send picture texts. But when I had sent a picture FROM my email TO my phone I got it and could even FORWARD the picture text to anyone else. Just can't create a picture text and send from my phone....WHY?? It's getting very frustrating!!!
