    Verizon in Anchorage, Alaska

Currently I am on a verizon family plan that I am sharing with my brother because we decided to share the wireless plan. However I live in Texas, whereas my brother is working & living in Alaska. The phone plans were activated here in Texas as well as activating my brothers phone here before I sent it off to him.

However my brother is able to make calls, he is not able to send text messages or use any part of his data plan. To my understanding this is not part of the 'roaming' area as it should be supported under our plan. Is there something I am missing? Is he not going to be able to use his data plan or no?

      Thanks in advance
