When I look at the text messaging usage data on My Verizon > My Current Usage > View Messaging Details, the time is wrong. Specifically many of the times are listed as AM, when actually they should be PM. Is this a known issue with My Verizon reporting? Is there someway to get out the correct time for text messaging usage?
Not only is all of the above occurring now my immediate normal usage has not updated since last evening. It was never delayed before. The detailed usage is running between 36-48 hours behind which used to take about 24 hours or less. This is absolutely ridiculous. When the detail usage did finally update it only gave half of the usage and all all of the am and pm's were switched around, skipped an entire day of calls and jumped to the next days CL Delivery calls? They need to hire new software engineers! The sad part is this has been an ongoing problem for the last two weeks and not one representative has responded or been able to provide an explanation or a solution.
I've also noted the fact that the online bill has not updated correctly. All the calls since 3/6/10 are showing the phone's own number as the calling number and CL DELIVER in the Description column. The customer service rep I spoke to at Verizon had no idea and suggested it was when we called our voicemail. Honestly, if they don't know why do they give out ignorant information? If that was true, then I wonder what the actual voicemail descriptions means, right? I hope they figure this out fast. It's annoying.
Interesting - I just went to my Verizon account online - it's showing on 3/6 that my daughter and I were texting at 4:51 AM - and I KNOW that isn't the case. No calls logged since 4 PM on 3/6 - so that's 2 days behind. Looking at the times, it seems the AM and PM are swapped - that's the only thing that makes sense.
And I have no data on any of our lines beyond 3/6. Texting is last showing about 8 AM on 3.6 (but that could be PM!) Wonder what's going on?
I called about this yesterday because I freaked when I went to check my daughter's usage and it showed that she was up all night several nights in row texting (3am, 4am and so on). I asked her about it and she denied it, so I called Verizon Wireless and they told me that there was NO way the usage info was wrong because it went from my daughter's phone, to a tower, then to another tower, and then to the person my daughter was texting. I told them that I had restrictions on her phone during those times and they said it didn't work because I had entered the times wrong. I took my daughter's cell phone away and grounded her...then I thought to check my own phone usage and it said similar and I KNOW that I wasn't up at 2am texting. I'm thinking Mother-of-the-Year Award is out--Thanks a lot Verizon.
All the same things are happening to our account on all five of our phones. Just wanted to make this statement so that we know it's happening to a lot (if not all) of us.
I was so angry at my son for texting all night on a school night, until I checked my own account then I saw it was an error. Too late for all the yelling at him I did. :/
Same issue here. AM and PM seems to be mixed up on the text messaging data and phone call data is behind (last date of 3/6) with CL Delivery as the source. This has been going on for a few days and tech support does not seem aware of the issue. Verizon please fix this--many of us rely on this data to monitor our call and text usage.
Thank you! Any idea of when we can hear back from Verizon for a status update?
Just keep checking your usage details - as of this moring, I have accurate phone numbers for calls and texts showing, but the time if off by 12 hours (showing AM instead of PM) and there's about 48 hours delay - my last info is from 3/7/10.
The issue that everybody is experiencing with the hours displaying incorrectly is a known issue with the website and unbilled SMS detail. A friend of mine confirmed it for me this morning.
So they know about it and are working on fixing it. Not much anyone can do at this point but wait.
The exact same thing is happening to me on my online usage page. I called customer service this morning and was on hold mostly while they tried to figure it out and COULD NOT! They told me so much crap, like I was checking my email. Yeah right for 20 minutes?? As of two days ago, every single call we get says, CL DELIVER and our own phone number. GRRRRRR this is so anoying. I had rather customer service just say they don't know, than to try to tell you a bunch of crap that is just their way of trying to get you off the phone. I hope this is fixed soon, but what if it's never fixed? Verizon does not seem to care if its fixed or not!
The time stamp issue (AM/PM switched) seems to have been resolved.....though there still is a delay of 24-48 hours in posting calls and texts, at least for my account. The most recent items seem to be from 3/8/10 in the evening. But the AM/PM seems to be right.
Not totally resolved.
If you look at your text's sorted by date, then yes, it does seem resolved. However, if you sort by time, there is no differentiation between AM and PM. I'm looking at my list, and it lists a text sent at 8:47 AM right above a text sent at 8:47 PM. And I also noticed that picture messages are time stamped with military time while regular texts are not.
I appreciate Verizon working on this, but it is definitely not totally resolved.

That almost makes sense....sorting by date will sort by the month, then day, then time within that day. So it's now sorted and correct.
When you sort by time, it looks like it's sorting numerically by the first character...so all of the 8:47's would be grouped, then sorted by AM PM based numerical value. Not exactly accurate (24 hour time SORT but 12 hour time display would work maybe?)
Still, as long as the AM PM timestamp is being applied correctly, it's close enough that I can live with it and figure out what I need to know.
Still having the 2 day delay when looking at the texts. This has been happening since the beginning of March. How long does it take for Verizon to correct this? It has been mentioned quite a bit so why isn't Verizon addressing this...It's very annoying when you need to check your text logs and your 2 days behind....
Mine are still behind and I know there are missing text messages that aren't showing up. I have sent my husband a few pictures and they still haven't showed up in the detailed billing on the computer. The time is also wrong I sent my husband a text which showed up correct on his detail but on mine is showed up an hour later than the time sent.
Yes, mine worked on time for one day only (yesterday). Today nothing shows up yet. We all pay a lot of money for a poor system for the past month. My only thought is the delays just might be from the website upgrade. For a company that deals with methods of communication a simple e-mail to those users who have supplied an e-mail would have probably eliminated this thread!
When I go to "my usage" I see the calls made and received however, I see my number as the number called, and most of the numbers I called are not listed. What is up with that! I have to wonder how many of these calls are even accurate. Why don't you guys (Verizon) see to this problem? Apparently, there are many others with very similar concerns. I'm considering changing to another carrier if I don't get some sort of feasible explanation. What's the use of this if it's not consistent?
I experienced the same issues. My BIG issue is the delay in the usage detail. When I called and explained that I was able to see the detail in about 12 hours... (as in yesterday's details on the next a.m.) I was told that it NEVER is seen until 48 hours later. I have been monitoring this usage for 3 years and this was a HUGE change and dissatisfying.
This is one of reasons I stay with Verizon because of this easy method to monitor children's activity without taking their phone and checking (if they don't erase messages or calls).
Come on and fix this..No one has responded to that change..If you are upgrading software or something at least be honest and don't tell the customer a bunch of jibberish when we know exactly what we monitor......
Thank you in advance and PLEASE fix the delay in viewing the usage detail.
I noticed the times were all messed up also..I called Verizon and they more or less accused my daughter of staying up all hours of the night texting. I know that was not true. As of today it seems that when you look at the log of your texts it is still 2 days late.
If I log on today (Monday) I can only look at the log for Saturday. It seems this problem has been happening since the beginning of March. I used to be able to look at the previous days text. Enough people have complained about this....FIX IT!! I spend enough money on my 4 cell phones every month this problem should be fixed.
