No 3G for me, also. I took the battery out for 30 seconds, I did 228/2 & 228/1 and that didn't work. I thought that I didn't pay my bill so I check to make sure it was paid. lol. Then I decided to check the forum to see if others are experiencing the same thing and you are. Oh well, i'll go back to sleep now. I'm pretty sure it will be up later.
I heard that there is a big push coming with updates for the Droid. Maybe Verizon was trying to push that update last night and it failed?
- more info - my wife just told me her BB is not getting anywhere on the internet after all - so I guess this is a bigger Verizon issue. Hope they get this fixed soon, just got the Droid yesterday and would like to get it set up with apps, etc.
EVERYBODY LISTEN. Dial *228 and select option 1.
This should be a weekly habit and it WILL solve your inability to receive 3G. (I'm guilty of not doing this like most of ya all. My daughter is one of those weekly download people. I called and she said "what 3G problem?" I did the *228 thing and it solved my problem)
bobcindy- its not a *228 issue. its a nationwide outage, its all over the news. some people are coming back, some are still having problems. you can try *228 in your area, but it might or might not help.
central florida still down 9AM. I suggest everyone post an update on time and location to help.

FWIW, if anyone wants to believe that *228 will fix their phone, so be it. Don't think that's it, though. I had 3G go in and out 5 times in less than 10 minutes just a little bit ago. If I had done *228 just before the last time, I would have thought that fixed it also. I didn't do *228, though, so can only conclude 'it can't hurt, but isn't going to help".
