I grew up in New England and, through my first career, worked my way across the country where I found my own 'perfect' place. A genteel rural island near the Canadian border in the Great Pacific Northwest that can be accessed by ferry, personal watercraft or aircraft only. Once I moved here I had to re-invent myself as my career was no longer an option. I'm poorer but happier living in a place that I love.
