Hello, I just setup my new Iphone Xr and Im trying to text my Dad who has a Samsung. All of the texts are failing but if I text another Iphone it works no problem. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Is your phone activated with Verizon service?  SIM card inserted?  Is it set to send and receive SMS? With your phone number?  (Not just iMessage)

Sorry to hear about the issues with texting your dad, 9175977216. I know this is confusing and I'm happy to help figure this out. Are you having issues with texting other Android operating system based phones other than your Dad's Samsung phone? Did you have another iPhone before you got the iPhone XR?
