I only upgraded my iPhone 6 plus to iPhone x a week ago and have this problem since upgraded. My iPhone 6 plus never had this problem until it got upgraded.
What I did:
Reset network settings and nothing has changed.
Turn off data then reset my iPhone x and nothing has changed.
Replaced sim card and nothing has changed.
Erased all content and settings and nothing has changed.
I checked Message setting. MMS messaging and iMessage are on. Tried turn off them and nothing has changed.
iPhone X using ISO 11.2.6.
Is there other way to fix this problem?

Hello, ERIBLO94. Not receiving your messages is troubling. I see that you have hit many of the normal troubleshooting steps. Is it just one friend that you are not receiving texts from?

Looks like you have your bases covered. I'd suggest doing a chat with VZW on their main websites. Possible something can be reset on the network side to resolve the issue.

Thank you for keeping us updated, ERIBLO94. Did you recently switch from an Android device to this iPhone X? If this is the case you may to sign out of iMessage and sign back into iMessage, let me know if this is helpful.

ERIBLO94,
Appreciate the clarification. To be certain, is your previous device powered off and disconnected from the iMessage service? If you still have the old device, we would recommend Erasing All Content & Settings on it, powering it off completely and then Resetting Network Settings on the current device to ensure there is no cross communication between the new and old device.
